Aaron M. Treadwell, Ph.D. is a historian of Black religious political thought and institutional theology. He is the author of two books from LSU Press on Black resistance to racial terror and the development of Black ecclesiastical institutions. His work locates African American churches as sites of political theology and intellectual formation in the long nineteenth century.
